What is the Home Run Challenge?

The Home Run Challenge is a partnership between Major League Baseball and the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) that helps raise money to find a cure for prostate cancer. Baseball fans pledge a dollar amount for each home run hit starting May 20, culminating on Father’s Day, June 18.

Why should I donate?

The Prostate Cancer Foundation funds vital research in order to find a cure for prostate cancer. Over the years, PCF funding has been a major part of the most significant discoveries in the field of prostate cancer research.

Where does the money go?

The money raised from the Home Run Challenge goes directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation to fund vital research in order to find a cure for prostate cancer.

Is there a minimum/maximum donation amount?

Any donation over $0.50 is welcomed.

When will I be charged?

We will send you an email with your total after Father’s Day before your card is charged. One-time donations are charged immediately.

Is this secure?

Yes. All payments are processed using state-of-the-art encryption and tokenization technology powered by Stripe. All payment data is stored on the Stripe Level 1 PCI certified servers.

How many home runs were hit last year?

In 2022, there were 621 home runs hit during the challenge.
